Today was the official first day of classes. I had two classes and I heard the apology twice. “I apologize for the price of this book, but there is nothing I can do about it.”
Textboks are a scam. I can’t wait until I write one.
Go ahead and write one, but from what I’ve heard, you won’t get any of the money!! They scam the professors too!!

Can’t you just download textbooks from online nowadays?
Oh, you can, as in the technology is there, but you can’t as the moral will to actually do it is not.
Actually, I think the books should be downloadable with a fee, but smaller than $110 a pop.
Okay… I’ll break down and give you a 38% loan to buy books…

I don’t understand why academia has not entered the digital age either.It seems you could just pay a small fee directly to the author and download a PDF and bypass the publisher and their huge printing, distribution and markup fees.
