Interestingly, Ted seems to think that his sin(s) must be dealt with “harshly” (numbered point 3). What about restoring someone “gently” (Gal. 6:1) who is caught in sin? Maybe that is something to be learned.

After reading it.
I believe he was sincere.
I believe we need to understand that all sin and fall short of the glory of God. You look at all the major leaders that God has had in the past. Abraham lie about Sarah being his wife, Moses was a murderer, King David was a liar, murderer, adulter. Manessah did much evil in the eyes of God. Paul a murderer and persecuter of the Lord’s Church. After confession and repentance their lives God blessed and continued to use. Abraham God’s friend. David “A man after God’s own heart.”
So is the church really going to show those who fail grace, mercy, love and forgiveness. Imagine if they did. What message would it send to the world? What difference would an attitude like that make?
